Meet the Chefs: John Bradley

Following his classic chef training in the northwest, John Bradley spent the following 30 years in the pursuit of food excellence working in hotels and restaurants both in the UK and around the world.

His extensive knowledge & experience of international dishes finally led him, together with his wife Jane, to buy Dunkery Beacon Country House and open within its walls, the Coleridge Restaurant.

The passion and standard of service they provide has led to numerous accolades including the Bath, Bristol & Somerset Food and Drink Awards ‘Best Small Hotel’ & ‘Best Restaurant’ and the Somerset Life Food and Drink Awards ‘Best Hotel Restaurant’ three years on the run.
John is a big advocate of utilizing local produce and enjoys combining these superb ingredients with the more exotic to create modern and exciting dishes on his seasonally changing menus.
